>I am not one who normally buys bottled water. Much to my kids’ disappointment, I don’t even buy juice boxes anymore. Or, at least, I haven’t. Tuesday afternoon I had to head to the doctor (for me!) with all 3 kinds in tow- what I thought would be a quick 15 minute ear check turned into almost 90 at the office and then we were sent to pick up prescriptions for me. I hadn’t grabbed anything for the kids- no snacks, no drinks- and it wasn’t until we were leaving the office that I realized how long it’d been since Baby B had a drink- and since the appointment had been during nap, the older 2 were super cranky and there was NO WAY I could get away with getting them to sit quietly so I could nurse her quick. With a plan to go grab a bottled water or juice in the dunkin donuts drivethru, we headed out- as I was buckling the baby into her seat I caught a glimpse of the Nourish Toddler water that I’d stuck in my diaper bag for just – in-case times. PHEW. Crisis averted. My thirsty girl would be able to have some water before she fell asleep and I could get us on the road to get my medicine and back home, where *I* could rest. I got lucky this time- she can’t really drink from anything except sippy cups and baby straws (and me) but I’d have had to pull over and get her drinks- which means longer in the car for all of us who were overtired and I was not.feeling.well at all.
Lesson learned. I really need to have a stocked diaper bag in my van. It isn’t like I don’t have the space. As the kids have gotten older I’ve become overly lax about keeping necessities in there and I have to stop. I need to be prepared- especially here in New England in winter, because if we break down or something I need to be able to have things on hand like water, snacks, hats, mittens.
What I like about the Nourish Toddler- its safe, clean, BPA free packaging that has a seal around the sippy spout, a cap for the spout, AND a seal under the spout. Plus its a sippy spout unlike regular water bottles. The water is – well, its water. But its so simple to use and great for situations like we were in. I may just have to get some more to have on hand to DO MORE for being prepared!! They do also make a baby version that would also be great to keep on hand- its got markings for ounces if you have to mix formula on the go!!

>Love the sippy part being attached! I have a diaper bag in the car, what I need to remember is to refill the wipes!

>I have never seen bottled water with a SIPPY attachment. GREAT idea (wish I had thought of that! lol). Glad you had that on hand… I've done the "stop so baby can get a drink" thing with all 4 kids. It can make for a long car ride! Glad she liked it :O)
