These are some great tips, and I appreciate your advice to set a budget before you start looking for cribs. My husband and I have a girl on the way, so we’re trying to get everything ready for her room. We’re pretty tight on money right now, so we’ll definitely make sure to set a budget before we start looking at cribs so we don’t end up overspending. Thanks for the great post!

Very useful post.It’s a given fact that your babies will spend most of his first years on his crib, so you should consider a lot of things before getting him one.A baby crib bed, should be sturdy enough to last for a long period of time.

We bought a whole nursery set second hand. But, when the recalls all rolled out, we were really nervous as we had a drop side crib and got a new one. Safety for sure is always the biggest concern!

I honestly can’t remember what our biggest deciding factor was for buying a crib. I know that we researched a lot of safety features though so I know it had something to do with safety issues. 🙂
