Today’s cookie for the 12 Days of Christmas Cookies is a Cinnamon White Chocolate Cocoa Cookie Sticks recipe. A mouthful to say but oh, so very good to eat!!
Cinnamon White Chocolate Cocoa Cookie Sticks
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 1/2 cups cake flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 Tbs cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon candy flavoring
- 1 cup melted white chocolate
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In large mixing bowl, using dough hook attachment of mixer cream together the shortening, eggs, and sugar.
In separate bowl sift together dry ingredients. Begin alternately adding dry ingredients and milk and vanilla, mixing well after each addition.
Roll dough into sticks approximately 3/8″ around and 6″ long.
Bake at 400 degrees for 6-8 minutes.
Allow cookies sticks to completely cool.
Mix cinnamon flavoring and melted white chocolate until smooth. I separated a small amount of mixture to color red to add a more festive look.
Once cookies have completely cooled, drizzle with the white & red cinnamon white chocolate. Allow chocolate to set and serve!
