Looking for a delicious and healthy dessert to finish off a meal or serve as a midday snack to get you through the day? Make your own homemade frozen yogurt with a tasty berry flavored base topped off with a generous drizzle of chocolate- the combination is amazing! Smooth and creamy, double smoothed, Aussie style yogurt from Yulu is the perfect base for this concoction at 9 grams of protein, no artificial colors or flavors, and gluten free. It is also delicious right out of the container! The protein in the yogurt makes this a nourishing indulgence, so a little goes a long way.
Berry Bramble Homemade Frozen Yogurt
Ingredients:
3- 5 oz. containers of Yulu yogurt, raspberry flavor (We like using the Yulu brand because it’s double-smoothed for extra creaminess, which makes the texture of this frozen yogurt more like an ice cream than a fro-yo!)
4-5 strawberries, washed and hulled
2 Tbsp. blueberries
1 Tbsp. honey
Chocolate sauce for drizzling
Directions:
Combine yogurt, strawberries, blueberries and honey in blender and process until nearly smooth.
Scoop out into a freezer safe container.
Place yogurt mixture in freezer, remove and stir every 20 minutes until desired consistency is reached- usually about two hours is perfect. Let it stay in too long? No problem you can reprocess in blender for a delicious and creamy texture.
Drizzle with chocolate before serving and garnish with fresh fruit for a delicious and healthy dessert.
