Hello All! I am Shaun, a 30-something year old mom to the 5 year old Peanut with a baby boy on the way. As I’m trying to soak up the last few months of Peanut being an only child, I decided to bring her down to Boston this past Saturday for US Weekly & Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn Movies in the Park series.
Paige was wicked excited, of course! Boston to see a movie with POPCORN?! It’s really easy to be a shining star in a 5 year old’s eyes!
Being our first time going to a movie in the park, we didn’t know what to expect. We knew there would be popcorn, the best kind to boot, but we brought anything and everything we could think we could need.
We brought blankets but there were some provided, drinks, a few extra snacks, and sweaters. Hey, it’s New England in September. Wait 5 minutes, the weather will change!
Paige had a great time dancing to the music provided and watching the movie.
We may have been on the T heading back home when I heard a little voice say, “Can we do that again soon?” With the winter months coming, I know we won’t be heading to the park for a movie for a while, but I am definitely looking forward to some fleece blankets, hot chocolate, a movie, and some Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn at home.

I wish that they did movie in the park in the cooler months here. They do it in the middle of the summer time and its super hot. The popcorn looks cool too. Pop it at home and take it on the go.

I love movie nights with my daughters. They always love to have popcorn when we watch a movie too. I might be having a movie night with them tonight actually.

Aww, sounds like fun! I wouldn’t want to do it here at a big park, as the traffic to get home would likely be as horrid as it is on the 4th of July. I’d love to do one maybe at a smaller park if it happened.

Looks like fun! She is getting so big!

Love family movie night. We used to do it on weekends but now kiddo is with us during the week and her moms on weekends. So, more homework and chores and less movies now.

Movies and popcorn are the best combination ever. I remember the time when my kids were little and we’d all sit and watch a funny movie together. Great times! Good memories.

They do these here in NYC too, but you definitely have to provide all your own stuff, these parks here in New York need to get their hustle game on and find some sponsors! LOL 🙂

Movies in the park is one of my absolute favorite summer activities. So sad it’s already over for the summer. Next year!

Popcorn is always our go to snack for movies. There’s just something about popcorn that’s so perfect with a movie. It makes it so much better.

It sounds like you had a great time. There’s really nothing better with a movie than popcorn.
