The Value of Berries and Other Items in Pokemon Go – PART 1
Pokemon Go has captured the world in its own Pokeball! Everyone around is playing this new, free app by Niantic, and it’s no wonder why. This app has been created with people of all ages in mind and it’s game play is both fun and addicting! Below you will find some helpful tips to teaching the value of Berries and other items in the Pokemon Go app. This is not a complete list of all the items you can gain in the Pokemon Go app, but this will get you started in the right direction to understanding how much each item is worth to you and your Pokemon for future adventuring. Be sure to watch for Part 2 in this post series coming soon! AND check out my friend Jana’s guide to Pokemon Go Spawn
Stardust And Candy
Stardust and Candy are unique types of items. Stardust can be used on any of your Pokemon, but the candy you receive when catching a certain type can only be used to level it up. These items are used to both power up and evolve your Pokemon of choice. When you catch the first of a species of Pokemon you will get 5-10 pieces of Candy. Then for subsequent catches you will receive 3-5 pieces of candy. Stardust and Candy are both extremely important for growing more powerful Pokemon, which would put these items at a considerably high value.
Razz Berries
The Razz Berry is unlocked at level 8, which makes Pokemon easier to catch. Razz Berries are fed to wild pokemon which makes them less likely to run away and escape Pokeballs. Razz Berries are a high priority to have in your inventory at all times, especially when you’re going out on an adventure to catch lots of Pokemon.
Lure Modules And Incense
Luring out Pokemon is another way to obtain Pokemon at a faster rate. Be sure to have as many Pokeballs as possible stocked in your items inventory to make the most of your time with the Lure turned on. Incense is a neat way to lure out pokemon to your immediate vicinity where only your personal game app will be the one to benefit from it being used. The Lure Module is stronger and can be attached to a specific Poke Stop for 30 minutes. If you see a Poke Stop with fluttering pink petals, be sure to stop there! The fluttering pink petals are a signal that a Lure Module is attached to the Poke Stop. Incense would be a medium value item, where a Lure Module is considered a high value item. Both are highly regarded and worth using to improve in the game app.
Potions
Potions can heal weak pokemon simply by increasing their HP (Hit Points). Potions, like Revive, are vital to have on hand whenever going into Gym battles. Therefore, Potions would be deemed a high value item. After your Pokemon is defeated in a battle or if it is knocked out after defending your Team’s Gym as a guard, you can use the potion on them by going into your items menu and clicking on Potions. Any Pokemon needing healing attention will appear there or under Revives. Just click on each Pokemon for a dose of Potion to be used on them. Do this as many times as needed until your Pokemon is completely healed and ready to battle again.
Revives
Revive is used to bring your strongest Pokemon that have fainted in a Battle back to full health instantly. When in a Battle, or at a Gym, Revive will bring your Pokemon who’s about to faint back to full health so it can continue to fight and earn you the victory! Since Revive is used specifically during battles against trainers from another Gym that you’re trying to conquer, it is considered a very high value item. It’s a “must have” in your items inventory when taking on a Gym.
