Purchase your copy of BOOK CLUB movie (avail now for digital download and Blu-ray), and make plans to watch it at home this weekend. The movie stars four of Hollywood’s funniest female icons (Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, Mary Steenburgen) who get together to discuss a book they’ve read and end up (as most book clubs do) discussing so much more. It’s the perfect girls’ night in movie- so much laughter, and food, and laughter, and more- especially once the ladies discover the 50 Shades of Grey books! The release includes hilarious bonus content, like the making of the film, deleted scenes, and more.
This semi homemade Book Club Bruschetta Dip is perfect for your next Girls’ Night In (to watch BOOK CLUB) and/or Book Club meeting. It’s also one of the simplest recipes, using just 3 ingredients! It’s great to get together with friends- for girls’ night in or a book club- and not everyone has the time or the energy to whip up a bunch of dishes from scratch. A trip to the dairy section of your local grocer, and about 5 minutes time, and you’ll have this crowd pleasing dip. Enjoy it with your favorite wines, water, seltzers or whatever your drink of choice is, and sit back and enjoy your company!
Book Club Bruschetta Dip
Ingredients
Premade Bruschetta (we find it by the salsas and hummus varieties at our local store)
8 oz cream cheese, cut into cubes
1 c mozzarella cheese
Pretzel dipping sticks, naan slices, mini toasts, baguette minis
Directions
Cut cream cheese block into cubes, softening in microwave until it starts to melt. We do 20 second intervals. After each interval, stir. When it’s easy to stir, get your cheese ready.
Add 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese to your cream cheese. Microwave for about 15 seconds.
Give the cheeses a good stir and then add your container of fresh bruschetta. Stir.
It’s that easy. Now, you can make a fresh bruschetta if you like, but this way is quick and easy and you’ll be with your friends enjoying their company a lot sooner if you go semi-homemade!
Serve with some naan chips, mini toasts, pretzel dipping sticks, or mini baguette slices.
If you don’t serve immediately, just keep in the fridge until you do and warm it for about 20-25 seconds before serving.
And, if you put things away because people seem to be done eating, and then want more, well, reheat it and set it out with another something to dip with. I suggest a nice wine, or ice water, but some Gatorade apparently works well, too. (Some of my book club pals don’t enjoy wine, but love the glasses).
BOOK CLUB – On Digital August 14, Blu-ray August 28
Diane (Diane Keaton) is recently widowed after 40 years of marriage. Vivian (Jane Fonda) enjoys her men with no strings attached. Sharon (Candice Bergen) is still working through a decades-old divorce. Carol’s (Mary Steenburgen) marriage is in a slump after 35 years.
Four lifelong friends have their lives turned upside down to hilarious ends when their book club tackles the infamous Fifty Shades of Grey.
From discovering new romance to rekindling old flames, they inspire each other to make their next chapter the best chapter.
Be sure to get your copy of Book Club on Blu-Ray to watch with your girlfriends this weekend!
