This Kid-Friendly Holiday Party Ideas post is sponsored by Blair, an online clothing company, but all opinions are my own.
Holiday fun for all Ages
Because my kids are involved in lots of >sports and after school activities, they have tons of friends. Every year, we love to invite them over to hang out. To make sure they have a great time, I have a few kid-friendly holiday party ideas I keep handy!
This season we do lots of entertaining because my kids are in different age groups, it can be tricky to be sure everyone has a good time. While planning all this fun, This Mama Loves being comfy! If you want clothes that are as easy to wear as they are to care for, you must check out Blair, an online clothing company. Their clothes can easily take you from dressy to casual. What I love is that I can dress an outfit up or down by adding or taking off a layer.
Tanks And Flannels, Oh My!
I must say, one of my most versatile outfits from Blair.com are my Essential Stretch Tank and Plaid Flannel Tunic. The tank is a great anchor piece for any outfit. I have three and trust me, I plan to have more! They are as flattering as any tank I have ever worn.
For a warmer choice, I add my fleece jacket. It is soft, lightweight and offers plenty of coverage.
Parties With Friends and Blair.com
Our parties are very low key, which is just the way I like it. My fashion sense is on the casual side, so the Essential Stretch Tank, Fleece Jacket and Fresh Knit Sport Pant from Blair.com work great. If you want clothes for every party this season, Blair, an online clothing company has what you need! Their clothes will fit your budget as well as they fit your lifestyle.
Kid Friendly Holiday Party Ideas
Because my kids are in different age groups, it can be tricky to be sure everyone has a good time. To make the party flow, we decided to set up “stations” for the kids to visit. This way, each kid can choose the activity they are most interested in. This keeps the older kids from getting bored or the younger ones feeling overwhelmed.
Everyone Loves Cookies
My kids love to help me bake and decorate cookies. Because we give a lot of treats to their teachers before winter break, we make a LOT. This year, we decided to have two baking stations for the younger and older kids.
Baking And Decorating
The older kids can help with mixing the ingredients and doing the actual baking. The younger kids can help grabbing the frostings and sprinkles. And then everyone can decorate their own cookies and then enjoy eating them. It’s a mess, but who cares?!
In The Middle Of The Chaos And Loving It
And because I am in the middle of all that chaos and fun, I want to be as comfortably dressed as possible. With my favorite clothes from Blair.com, being comfortable is always on the table for me! Read my post on Essential Fall Layering Pieces, which you can find on Blair.com
Musical Pin The Tail On The Reindeer
Another fun activity for both age groups involves our favorite Christmas character, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. For the younger crowd, we have a big picture of Rudolph on the wall and the kids try to pin the red nose on him. It is hilarious.
For the older kids, we have big floor pillows in the family room. We play the song, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and stop it, just like in musical chairs. Also, very hilarious.
How About Some Adult Fun?
To make the party as much fun for the adults as the kids, we invite the parents to come as well. For the parents who are able to make it, we take turns manning the activity stations. After the games are over and the kids are watching a movie, the adults can relax.
There is nothing I love more than to just hang out with my friends and talk, tell stories and laugh. And what better clothes to wear when I want to feel at ease are my favorite outfits from Blair.com.
