Now that we have another little one joining our family our bedroom arrangement needs to be reevaluated. My two big guys will now be sharing a bedroom and they desperately needed a room update. It is fun to do something special for the older siblings when a new baby is expected. Besides, what does a pregnant mommy on bedrest have to do all day but redecorate! Sweet Peaches Bedding and Accessories came to our rescue! They have the most adorable bedding for babies, childrens and teens. In addition, they have a fabulous selection of Decor and Furniture. There is something to fit everyone’s style and design. I was looking for an “outdoorsy” accessory but I wanted it to look appropriate for a little boys room. This Black Bear Lodge Lamp by Oopsy Daisy fit the bill perfectly. The vibrant colors and cartoon design on the lampshade are just perfect! This lamp is generously sized at approximately 21″ tall and 11″ wide. It has a fun art shade and decorative pull charms. It comes with your choice of red or green lamp base. Oopsy Daisy has several different shade and base options, making it versatile enough to fit into any child’s room decor. This lamp arrived in a couple of weeks, as these items are made to order. I first want to mention what a great job this company does with their packaging. Each individual component was padded separately and packaged with cardboard dividers. The shipping box was sturdy to ensure that there was no breakage. They took a lot of time to make sure that this piece arrived as intended, with no scratches, dents or blemishes. The quality of the lamp is immediately apparent. The sturdy glass base it durable and colorful. The art shade is so unique and makes such a statement in the room. The light is turned on and off with a pull chain and charm. The charms are also glass. My children LOVED the pull charms on this lamp. One side shows a black bear, while the other has a frog. My oldest is 5 years old and when I mentioned that he would be getting a brand new lamp in his room, he was not pleased. There are so many changes going on in his life: a new baby, sharing a room, etc… He is very resistant to change right now. I was concerned that this gorgeous lamp would arrive and he wouldn’t let me put in his room. Well, I had nothing to worry about! He immediately fell in love with his new lamp. He wanted to put it in his room immediately. The vibrant colors of the lamp fit in perfectly with his bedroom decor. We couldn’t be more pleased! The actual light itself works great. I just used a standard light bulb and it gave off a nice soft glow that was adequate enough to read by but wasn’t overly intense. The lamp shade really helped to diffuse the light nicely and cast a pleasant glow in the room.

My Overall Impressions: While this lamp retails for $138, which is a little bit more than I would typically spend, it was immediately apparent that this is a really high quality accessory. We will have this lamp for a very long time. The design is unique and looks great in a child’s bedroom. Sweet Peaches Bedding and Accessories was a great company to work with and the quality of the shipping was stellar. I did have to wait a couple of weeks for my item, but this is due to the fact that the pieces are made to order. I personally have no problem waiting a little longer to receive my item if I know that it is being made with quality. I would not hesitate to order from this site again. They have a great selection of bedding and decor, including: drawer pulls, rugs, growth charts and wall art. In fact, I am dying to try out some of their gorgeous crib and toddler bedding!
