Did you know you can RENT college textbooks now? I wish this option was around when I was in school- the money I spent on brand new books that I resold for literally pennies in comparison to what I paid still makes me sad. Especially for books that professors really didn’t even get into using- but you lost money on them!! Frustrating!! CampusBookRentals.com lets you rent textbooks, saving 40-90% from bookstore pricing, and you can do some good while you rent- for each textbook rental, they donate to Operation Smile. They also offer free shipping both ways, and have flexible rental periods so if your school is on a trimester schedule or you need a text for more than one semester, you can work that out. Refer friends and save even more!! (I LOVE referral programs!!)
If you have some books already purchased, they do purchase books as well. So you can get a little cash towards next semester’s rentals and save a bit more.
What I like the most about this site, is their relationship with Operation Smile. For each book rental, CampusBookRental.com is giving a portion of the proceeds to Operation Smile- they have committed to donating the cost of at least 1,000 surgeries. If you aren’t familiar with Operation Smile, they are an organization that offers cleft lip surgeries to families who couldn’t otherwise afford it. This is a life changing procedure and makes such a huge impact. I like being able to support causes like this directly and indirectly.
Follow CampusBookRentals.com on Twitter- you could win prizes including coupons, shirts, scholarships and more!

That’s a great site and a great idea! I’m in school and my books cost double the amount I can rent them for!

Yep, I wish I could have rented textbooks as well! I paid $70+ for each textbook *groans*. Hope they’ll be around when my kids are in college 😉
