Listen, I’ve been a Comcast customer on and off (yes, sometimes off) for years, since we moved to our current town. We have changed providers in the past due to cost and, quite frankly, customer service issues. I have found that most people I speak to about the brand share this experience with me. But we changed back to Comcast about 18?? months ago, and have been quite pleased with both our service AND the customer service.
Earlier this month I got to visit the North Haven, Connecticut Home of Distinction and attend a blogger event with several folks from Comcast and I have to tell you… all of those folks who have spoken ill of Comcast customer service? They HAVE been listening. They get it. They are, I am happy to say, working to improve that image. Disclosure: I hosted a local Comcast event and received a goody bag plus compensation.
Comcast has a lot of great things to offer, and has many more on the horizon. They are working to use technology to both enhance and support consumers in many ways. If you have Comcast, and you have not yet downloaded the My Account app via iTunes, Google Play, or the Windows App Store, GO GET IT. I’ll wait. The app gives you a chance to start troubleshooting and even request a call so that you don’t have to place a call and sit on hold for however long. Request that call and continue about your day. There’s so much you can do in the app- from checking email to checking in on your house when away…and so much more.
I applaud the efforts to improve Comcast customer service right along with their products and services offered. Using the technology in so many ways means a more user-friendly experience and better quality products in the cable, internet, home phone and XFINITY Home products.
XFINITY Home offers total home security- from basic to all encompassing, you can now keep on eye on your house both inside and out, see who’s coming up your driveway, be alerted when doors and windows are opened and even turn off lights or lock doors- no matter where you are! There are many products you can get protect your home and loved ones with XFINITY home. Friends of ours have used this for several months now and it’s a really cool feature especially in the evening to know who’s coming- and to which door. (You can also giggle a little if they don’t know you have the system in place…). It’s also been great for them as they’ve gone away a few times for longer stretches of time to be able to get that reassurance with their own eyes that all is well at home.
