The farmstand up the road just announced yesterday they are open for the season. I’m almost giddy with excitement. Fresh berries, veggies and other fruits around the corner, grown locally? Yes, please! We may not do a lot of pies on here (at least, not sweet ones, but we do whoopie pies frequently…does that count) but we sure do LOVE a good pie! The rhubarb in our garden is ready for eating and the kids have mastered the strawberry rhubarb pie at this point…but now we can make it again with local fresh berries.
