Fun ways to enjoy a smart portable projector
Fun ways to enjoy a portable projector
Here are some other ways to enjoy a projector in addition to the traditional movies-at-home use!
Movies under the stars
Enjoy a movie in the yard! You can use that projector and enjoy movies out in your own yard, hanging out on a blanket…all you need is a wifi signal and dusk to fall.
Community Gatherings
Have a larger gathering and enjoy a slideshow, movie or presentation on the side of a building- no need to sit inside when you have a smart mobile projector! We used to belong to a swim club with a swim team and at the end of each season, right at dusk after the banquet, they would project a slideshow of memories of the whole season for the kids to watch and families to enjoy. It was such a fun part of the pool club and one of our favorite parts of the summer!
Special Events, Special Features
In our town, the 8th graders have a Promotion ceremony to high school. We are a prek-8 school, so when the kids finish the 8th grade, it’s a big deal. There are several fun events for the kids, including a special themed evening put on by the parents of the 7th graders, and there are many ways that themes can be enhanced and brought to reality using a projector- film clips, music videos, and more. (One of my favorite parts of this evening is that the kids are kept 100% in the dark about the theme until they walk in- no one spills the beans, so it’s a really special moment for all of them together. The smart portable projector can enhance the whole event theme!
Slideshows
Share photos and memories during your party, graduation celebration or even wedding reception- portable is portable and the sky is the limit for what you can share! Ask baby shower guests to send in some of their favorite baby photos and include them with the mom to be and her baby photos at her baby shower! You could even incorporate that into a game during the shower, another fun way to keep guests entertained.
Gaming
Mobile gaming takes on a whole new level of awesome thanks to a HDMI input that works with popular gaming consoles. Gamers can enjoy playing outdoors, indoors, on the ceiling, and in a much larger size!
Camping
Especially if you are camping and it’s a rainy night- project the movie right inside your tent!
Sibling Savers
This one is from the Martin kids- they say, bring the projector so that the siblings can watch fun cool stuff when they are waiting for others to finish with basketball or karate- or anything where they have to sit FOREVER and wait for lesson times to pass. My son says this is the perfect thing to bring to his sisters’ gymnastics meets and “all the brothers” will thank me for letting you all know. (I guess they can get a little long at times….
Think outside the box!
Think about how to kick your opening or ribbon cutting over the top- imagine being able to bring your mobile projector and share video, images and content on site during your opening?! Having a grand re-opening? Show off the changes you’ve made so everyone can see!
The ZTE SPRO 2 Wireless Smart DLP Projector is a smart portable projector with a built in 5-inch Android touchscreen. It comes with it’s own HDMI cable, power cord (the cord charges the 6300 mAh internal battery which powers 2.5 hours of projection time or up to 16 hours of connectivity), and, one of my favorite things to find in a box: it’s own storage pouch. It’s small size and light weight mean you can really bring just about anything you want to share anywhere you go! You can use the projector with USB or HDMI connections, but you can also use micro SD cards (we will be able to show my in laws all of the photos from my husband’s phone using the projector since they have no internet!), wi-fi, bluetooth or Google Play apps, so really, you can share just about *anything* with this projector.
Also, just so you know…you can just watch things on the 5 inch screen. If you’re in a pinch…
So, where would YOU use a portable projector- and what would you use it for?
