I keep hearing about Jillian Michaels over and over and over again- and I hear she’s amazing with what she teaches people and shows them they can do with their bodies- has anyone tried her weight loss program? No gym required intrigues me. I think I have a special kind of hatred for the gym (maybe because there isn’t one that is affordable and offers childcare anywhere near my house?!) I’m more looking at the non-dietary aspect of this due to Nutrisystem, although I’d love to know what people think of the program as a whole!! Anyone?[ad#glam between posts]

I totally ditto the 30 day shred recommendations! I love it and it’s easy to find the 20 minutes.

I have the DVD also, my husband and I try the exercises every night, though I’m limited to what I can do, w/his help I can get through more than if I did it by myself. I have really noticed the difference. I’ve been doing it for about a month now and I’m seditary and have lost 5lbs. I next going to try and fit the diet plan in with my eating restructions (gastroparesis) but I think it will work. But as for now I love the exercise program. I have MS and can’t do every one, but I surely try……Good luck if you are going to try it. Don’t think you will be sorry if you do.

While I do not do her program, I do do her DVD’s. The only thing you need are some hand weights and anywhere from 20 – 60 minutes to do her workouts. They are difficult, but they do get you results. If you are just starting out I suggest her 30 Day Shred and also she has a Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout that is good. The nice thing about the 30 Day Shred is there are 3 levels. You progress through the levels as your strength and stamina increase. Each level is difficult and challenging. And naturally, level 2 is a bit harder than level 1 and level 3 is really difficult. These workouts are only 20 minutes but you will feel like you have been working out for much longer afterward. She basically works in circuits. An example circuit would be something like 30 seconds of cardio followed by 1 minute of strengh training followed by 1 minute of abs and then repeat.
I really do love her videos. Doing her workouts got me into the shape I needed to be in to do the P90X series, which is the next level up. I would highly suggest that you try them!

I have Ripped in 30 and it gives you the diet plan free when you purchase the DVD. I have not tried her paid plan through her website, but when I looked through her diet it looked easy enough if I were just one person. As a family of 6 it doesn’t work out well. The DVD is a great work out and with that and a nice diet calorie counting diet it works.

I have used her 30 Day Shred and her Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and am in love. Now I must admit that I haven’t done the 30 Day Shred like I am supposed to but each workout is only 20 minutes so each of us should be able to find 20 minutes a day. If you are thinking about it, TRY IT!! You will love it!
