There is nothing quite so reassuring as hearing your baby’s heartbeat. That is why I sought out an at home fetal doppler that would allow me to listen to my baby’s heartbeat whenever I wanted to! I was looking for a medical grade piece of equipment that would allow me to hear heart sounds early on, unlike many of the units at big chain stores that work poorly and only during the third trimester. When I found HearTones through an internet search I was immediately impressed with their easy installment plans and shipping/returning policies. Their prices were the best I could find online at around $22 a month, with discounted prices for extended rental times. The shipping and return shipping is also included in the price.
I reviewed the Heartones Baby Doppler with Digital Display. The item was shipped to me promptly and arrived in a sealed box with the doppler, a large bottle of ultrasound lotion, instructional DVD, return label and detailed instructions on the use of the product and how to return using the original shipping box. It was extremely easy to use. Basically turn it on, apply lotion and listen to that little heartbeat! The digital display is great and I have found that it is accurate and consistent.
I also love how easy they make it to return the item. Since the original shipping box is the same one that you will be returning it in, there is no need to worry returning the doppler after your baby is born. You already have everything you need, the packaging, the box and the shipping label. Just drop it off at a UPS site.
Being able to see your baby’s actual heart rate just gives me that extra feeling of security. My husband may call me obsessive but this is the one item that allows this type A mom to relax and really enjoy my pregnancy to it’s fullest. I also find that this is a great tool for my other children. They just love listening to their little siblings galloping heart rate. It has initiated some really great conversations with the little ones. Another perk, the grandma’s just love this thing. It helps them feel more involved and connected to their new grandchild. This is especially important in my family, where all of our relatives live out of state.

I also rented one of these for my pregnancy, and I love it! It’s so nice to be able to listen to the baby any time I want, it makes me feel more bonded to my baby! I ordered the Elite doppler, which doesn’t have a digital display, and they upgraded me to the Elite with digital display for free! The quality of the doppler is high, they use the same doppler where I work in Labor and Delivery. The website was simple to navigate, and the doppler was shipped to me really fast!
