My daughter received complimentary treatment and these are her thoughts about her experience over the course of her Invisalign® treatment.
I’ve worn Invisalign® clear aligners for just over 2 years, and the effects of it are amazing. My teeth have moved so much over the past years, and I love my smile now! It was a little weird in the beginning; with having the new attachments on my teeth and having to get used to my aligners, but I got used to it pretty quickly.
Here’s my big advice for all of you:
In my experience, the more you wear your aligners, the quicker your teeth will move and you will finish treatment.
During my Invisalign treatment, I have worn elastic bands. I didn’t wear my aligners with the bands when I first got them, so I ended up adding a good seven or eight months to my treatment! My orthodontist told me I’m the first kid who’s worn the bands and not the clear aligners.
Don’t be like me- you may also elongate your treatment. Follow your Invisalign treatment plan exactly as your orthodontist recommends. I got rubber bands a second time, and this time I wore my aligners with my bands, and I was only in bands for a month. I am starting my fourth set of aligners soon, and I’m pretty excited. I can’t wait to see my smile when I am done with my Invisalign treatment.
Having an experienced orthodontist who knows what you need will help you avoid future treatment plan changes and put you on the right treatment track to focus on your life. Dental care is as personal as any other treatment, and your dentists can only provide effective solutions if they understand your problems and needs.
Consequently, it would be best if you had a dentist you can trust not to mess things up; that is why a quick search for top dentists in your area can save you many unforeseeable problems.
What would scream best dentists louder than a quick search for a Voted Top Dentist 9 Consecutive Years clinic? It proves quality services, trustworthy dentists, and a good reputation; nobody votes for mediocre work many times.
You never truly know the extent of your dental issues or whether or not you have more issues, to begin with. The right dentist will not only treat the primary issues but will go a step further to determine what other dental illnesses you might have.
For individualized dental care, dentists go the extra mile to ensure your dental health is superb by tackling secondary dental issues. It might seem unnecessary, but having a dentist you can trust means you can openly confide in, which resonates with how well your dental care goes.
At first, I didn’t think that many people would have Invisalign aligners. After a while, I realized that it’s more popular than I originally thought. Over six million people have had Invisalign treatment, and 1.4 million of those people are teenagers.
Before I got Invisalign aligners, I was pretty nervous. I didn’t know how noticeable they would be, and I didn’t want people to make fun of me. I also didn’t know how much pain I would be in once the aligners and attachments were on. I’m happy to tell you that my Invisalign clear aligners have been comfortable for me to wear.
The day I got my Invisalign clear aligners, I was weirded out by the feeling of the attachments and aligners on my teeth. Over the course of the next few days, I got used to it. My teeth weren’t in that much pain either. My brother and sister have both had regular braces and they have both been in pain after appointments many times. In my experience, people can hardly tell I am wearing Invisalign clear aligners, not at school, the doctor, summer camp, gymnastics, or anywhere else I’ve been.
As time went on, I noticed results from wearing my Invisalign clear aligners after a few months, but around a year to a year and a half into treatment, my teeth were pretty straight. I mean, my teeth weren’t terrible in the beginning, but the difference was incredible. My teeth were lined up with each other, and I could touch my teeth together.
Now, towards the end of my treatment, I’m so used to my Invisalign aligners that I can’t imagine what it will be like without them. It has become such a big part of my daily life, and it will feel weird to not have the attachments on. When I get new scans, the orthodontist takes my attachments off my teeth, and it feels really weird. And then they put them back on so that my teeth will move with the new aligners, and the whole process starts over. I only have a few months left of my treatment, and I am super excited to be done and see my beautiful smile all of the time.
I am in my last set of aligners, and I can’t wait to see my final results. I think the worst part of Invisalign treatment is probably waiting to see the final results! Overall, my experience with Invisalign treatment has been pretty great. If your teeth need straightening, I highly recommend Invisalign for teens as a treatment. Invisalign treatment works for a wide array of issues, but you’ll have to see an Invisalign provider to find out if you’re a candidate. Just like with any other medical treatment, doctors may have different opinions. Consider getting a second opinion if you are told you are not a candidate for Invisalign clear aligners.
Many dental insurance plans cover Invisalign treatment just as they would other orthodontic treatments like braces. The cost is comparable to braces, so if your parents are thinking it’ll be super expensive, it’s going to be about the same.

I know my teens would choose Invisalign instead of regular braces if they were available when they got their braces.

My 3 young adult children all got braces recently. 2 of them are dental assistants. They all chose to go old school instead with Invisalign.
