Every expecting mom dreads those two little words, STRETCH MARKS. Those who have had children before know what I am talking about. We all get them, but can they be treated? I was intrigued when I ran across the Mama Mio Tummy Rub Stretch Mark Butter. It has won several awards and is used by celebrities (so it’s got to be good, right?).
Honestly, I have tried other stretch mark cream and have been disappointed. They left my skin feeling sticky and oily. When I received the Tummy Rub I was immediately taken by the gorgeous fragrance. It isn’t too strong or too light and smells like a high end spa product. The butter itself is just that, like a whipped butter. It has a decadent thick, creamy texture that practically melts into the skin. In fact, I liked it so much that I use it on my hands afterwards.
The Tummy Rub contains high levels of Omega 3, 6 and 9, which work to improve the skins elasticity and strength throughout pregnancy and afterward. It contains Borage Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Wheatgerm Oil and Rosehip Seed Oil. I also love that is paraben, colorant and phthalate free.
This product is a really luxurious way to start that day. I love to apply mine fresh out of the shower every morning. It is recommend that the Tummy Rub product is used for 4 months following birth to ensure the full effects of shrinkage. I plan on continuing to use this product for many months to come.
