From sea to shining sea, from north to as far south as you can drive there are many famous, awe inspiring landmarks to see right here in our United States. That makes for plenty of awesome road trips for you and the family, with amazing photos to be taken, and memories to be made. Where will you take your loved ones this summer? 10 Must See National Landmarks
Statue of Liberty-
If you are headed to New York perhaps you will find yourself at the top of Lady Liberty, feeling your heart swell with pride at the thought of all those who came to America seeking the freedom she offered.

Grand Canyon-
Your travels may lead you out west to Arizona where you can stand at the base or the top of the incredible Grand Canyon taking in its majesty.

Mt. Rushmore-
Above the black hills of South Dakota you can view George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt larger than life carved into Mt. Rushmore.

Hoover Dam-
On the Nevada-Arizona border is the Hoover Dam, built to control the flow of the Colorado River, has also been made famous in several movies. Take a tour while there, they are offered year round.

Golden Gate Bridge-
Arching high above the Bay in San Francisco California, this magnificent sculpture is a breathtaking look at incredible engineering.

Smoky Mountains-
Beautiful scenery is at every turn when you drive through the great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina. Anytime of year is fantastic but the fall is an especially beautiful display of nature.

Yellowstone National Park-
Spreading across Montana, Idaho, and the majority of it in Wyoming the Yellowstone National Park offers campgrounds, beautiful views, and of course geysers like Old Faithful.

Gateway Arch-
At 630 feet tall this impressive structure stands strong against the backdrop of St. Louis, Missouri. Observe from the ground, a paddle boat or make your way to the top and view it from the inside out on the observation deck.

The Alamo-
Load up the family and head to The Alamo in San Antonio, Tx. where the famous battle for independence in Texas was fought.

U.S Southernmost Point-Key West, Fl.-
Aim your car south, keep going until you hit the southernmost point in the U.S in Key West, Fl. Be sure to grab a pic in front of the iconic colorful marker on the corner of South and Whitehead.

What a great list of places to visit! I am sad we did not see the statue of liberty when we went to NYC, I must go see it soon as it is only a five hour drive or 45 min flight away!

I think seeing Mount Rushmore would be epic. It’s always amazed me that humans were able to make such absolutely stunning carvings into a mountain like that.

Your right, these pictures are amazing. All of the National Landmarks are fantastic. The Smoky Mountains and the Grand Canyon have some spectacular colors.
