You just can’t help but love him, can you? Even after you have seen the movie a thousand times and you have the soundtrack running on repeat through your head- Olaf is just adorable! I came up with a sweet cheese ball recipe in his likeness for those of you who really can’t get enough. Because when someone says ‘Do you wanna build a snowman” to you, you do it.
Olaf Cheese Ball
Ingredients:
1-8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter- (1 stick)
3/4 cup powdered sugar
2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Items for decorating cheese ball- carrot sliver, black gel icing with a small tip, chocolate chips, candy eyes, and pretzels.
Directions:
Cream butter and cream cheese until smooth.
Add sugars and vanilla slowly -mix until well incorporated and creamy.
Remove mixture from bowl and cover in plastic wrap, place in refrigerator for 2-3 hours and allow it to firm up.
When mixture has firmed, roll into snow ball shapes- 2 smaller for feet, a large base, smaller torso, and larger head- shape it a bit so it resembles Olaf. I looked at a picture of him for inspiration while I worked. Roll in powdered sugar to coat and to make it resemble snow.
Assemble parts, using a pretzel stick to secure.
Add carrots, candy eyes, and other additional pieces to decorate your Olaf. For his hair I melted a few teaspoons of chocolate chips in the microwave, scooped it into the corner of a sandwich bag, snipped off the corner and “drew” his hair shape onto waxed paper, let harden in the refrigerator and press gently into the top.
