Do you know what I love? Chocolate. I do. Oreos? Yes, please. But I also love to SHARE the chocolate and (usually) the Oreos. We’ve already expressed our love for homemade cookie butter, but now we’ve taken that and kicked things up a notch, adding in some oreo fun. The only problem is deciding what to eat the cookie butter with- a cracker, a graham cracker, ice cream, or maybe just a spoon?
Oreo Cookie Butter
Ingredients
2 C. Oreo cookie crumbs (about 1 package of Oreo cookies)
4 tbs. butter
1/2 C. sweetened condensed milk
1/4 C. evaporated milk
water
Food Processor
Instructions
Open your package of Oreos and remove the cream filling. You want to use ‘dry’ cookies.
Place the Oreo cookies into a food processor and pulse until you have cookie crumbs. It took almost the whole package of Oreo’s to make 2 cups of crumbs (give or take). Set the crumbs aside.
In a small saucepan heat the butter, sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk on low, stirring to combine.
Remove from heat once the mixture is heated through and slowly pour it over the Oreo cookie crumbs. Go slow and only pour in the liquid as needed. Stir and add more.
You want the mixture to be sticky (not crumbly) but you also do not want it too wet and soupy.
Once the Oreo crumbs and the liquid are combined add the cookie to a container you can easily seal (such as a mason jar) and seal.
Print the labels provided and give as gifts.
*Refrigerate the mixture and when ready to use add a little bit of water at a time. Stir until the mixture is dip consistency.

I have always been a vanilla girl. Even as a kid, I would pick out the chocolate chips from the cookies and beg my mom to make cookies with out them. Crazy I know. Now I love chocolate, just not too much of it. I love oreo milkshakes and thought this might be something similar in taste, but without that cream filling I don’t know. I might just give this a shot. Hey, if i don’t like it, I know 3 kiddos who would (wink, wink). Thanks 🙂
