Patriotic Paper Craft
These paper crafts are perfect for your next patriotic event! Add them to food on your table. Toss them in a centerpiece or plant or enjoy them by themselves in a cute mason jar! I love using hot glue with paper because there is very little dry time.
If you’re feeling like you want a lot of red, white and blue fun, try your hand at some string art for July 4th, festive pudding pops, a patriotic mocktail and the ever popular red white and blue popcorn mix that doubles as table decor!
Patriotic Paper Craft
Materials:
Hot Glue
Miscellaneous Scrapbook Paper
Circle Template
Scissors
Skewers
Directions:
To make the red fan burst:
Cut a piece of red scrapbook paper 12″ x 4-1/2″ and accordion fold every half inch. Glue end together with hot glue.
Cut a white circle (about 2″) and a blue star circle (around 1-3/4″) and glue together with hot glue. Glue the circle onto the red fan. Affix skewer on back and let dry.
To make the star bow fan:
Cut a 6-1/2″ circle (I used a cutter but my pyrex bowl lids work great for this!) Fold circle in half and accordion fold about every 1/4″ apart. Glue in center with hot glue. Hold until set. Glue on a red circle center (about 2″) and a cute button (I added blue and white). Glue skewer on back and let dry.
To make the red and white flower:
Cut 5 red strips 8-1/2″ x 1/2″ using a cutter. Cut 5 yellow strips the same size. Join strips at end and hot glue. Hot glue all strips together. Cut a white circle (about 3″) and blue circle (about 2″) and glue together. Add button if desired. Glue to skewer and let dry.
Display and enjoy!

I’m dropping by from the SITS Girls link party. I LOVE this idea — and especially how easy it looks to do. That’s my kind of craft.
I’m trying to grow my own link party and I invite you to share this idea (and a couple of others) at Grandma Ideas Sharing Time at http://grandmaideas.com. I think my readers would really enjoy this idea too!!
All the best,
Nina
(I’ve also pinned this on my 4th of July Pinterest board.)

These are fun. I can never get mine to look as perfect as yours do. I have some sort of a spacing problem. I love the way they turned out!
