Remember in my first Pedigree post I spoke of the 4 Universal Needs? Since our boy has been eating the Pedigree Complete food for a few weeks I thought we would share a quick update about these with you:
Skin&Coat : I haven’t noticed a huge change but his coat was pretty healthy to begin with. Its shedding season so he’s just shedding all of his coat anyway!!
Oral Care: THIS is where I’ve noticed a change- his breath definitely smells better than it has for a long time, which tells me that something about this formula is definitely working well for his mouth, gums and teeth!
Digestion – haven’t really noticed much of a difference
Immunity – no change noticed.
The transition over to the Pedigree food has gone smoothly. Tobey’s pretty easygoing so I wasn’t concerned he’d not want to try the new food or anything. He’s not a huge eater-but he does eat this as well as he did the previous food we were feeding him. The fact that I’m noticing improvement in his oral health makes me very happy with this food and likely to continue him with the Pedigree after this “challenge” is finished- which means if friends or family ask, yes, I will likely recommend this brand to them for their dogs.
I am anxious to see if Tobey continues to like this food (I’m sure he will) and to see what other changes and improvements I notice in his 4 Universal Needs, his oral care in particular!
