Schwan’s is a brand that I’ve known of for a very long time but hadn’t had the opportunity to try except a few times. Having been on Nutrisystem for several months, I’ve had Schwann’s at my house to deliver my frozen foods (they are partnered) but it wasn’t until very recently that we actually got to try a full meal from Schwann’s.
I understand the hype. I understand the love.
Delicious food, super simple to prepare, and TIME SAVING!! We hadn’t had much in the way of plans today- church, and then picking up groceries- but due to a “thingy” exploding in the Camry and having an extra child here this afternoon for a few hours, and then trying to rent a steam cleaner to get our rugs cleaned and the smell from the explosion in the Camry to dissipate- the quiet Sunday turned into a lot going on with not much at all being accomplished- and before we knew it, the clock said 5:45. We usually eat by 5:30. This wasn’t good.
Thankfully, Schwan’s had sent us a meal, and guess what we were sitting down to eat by 6:15 with almost no effort on our part?
Steakhouse Seasoned FlatIron Steak 
Which were individually packaged (great for folks who don’t need 4 for a meal) and tasted pretty good, although not as flavorful as we’d imagined. Truth be told, I only took 2 nibbles of this since I am on Nutrisystem, but I wanted to at least try it!! The steak WAS tender and my kids, being the little carnivores that they are, gobbled it up.
We made a salad from the garden, and we’d cut extra veggies yesterday for this, so that was quite simple!!
For a treat after dinner the family enjoyed the Rainbow Confetti Ice Cream Cake. Festive and fun, and the confetti is fruit flavored so it’s a different taste than we are used to for ice cream cake- and a hit with the family!!
Wanting some lighter fare? Schwan’s offers a LiveSmart line that offers healthier items. I got a package of the Turkey Sausage Patties which I’ve used a few times for breakfast with biscuits and a light gravy, and also in lieu of a burger for dinner time. The LiveSmart line includes lots of side dishes, main dishes and desserts as well- just lighter style!!
