Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Movie Premiere of “Sense, Sensibility & Snowmen”

One of my favorite things about the holidays is the togetherness. Growing up, my mom had probably 40-50 people at our table(s) for any and all holidays. If she heard someone had no place to go, she set another place. It’s just how she was.

I didn’t realize that this wasn’t always how holidays went, but I treasure the memories and try to capture and recreate some of the things that made the holiday season so special to me with my own kids.  Baking family favorite cookies for treats to share- even the ones we don’t love but someone else does (example: My dad loved pfefferneuse cookies….my mom hated them. She baked a batch every year just for him).

Sure, the shopping and wrapping can be stressful but it’s also fun and special to choose something to put a smile on someone else’s face!

 

Miracle of Christmas & Countdown to Christmas

One of our Martin family traditions is watching as many holiday specials and movies together as we can. Some of them, we watch on a certain night, have popcorn with holiday color M&Ms candies, and just enjoy being together. I love it. I love watching Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Miracles of Christmas and Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas with the family because I always know I will end up smiling and feeling the warm Christmas feelings in my heart!
