This post is brought to you by The Tweeting Bra, to raise awareness for breast self-examinations.
I want to take a minute to remind us all of the importance of having a monthly breast self-examination day. Chances are, even if you aren’t a woman, you have a woman in your life that you care about, and it’s always good to remember to do self-examinations. (Please note, gents, I’m not inferring that YOU do the exams). Especially now, with the hustle and bustle of the holidays upon us, we need to make a point to remember to do this. Early detection is so important with breast cancer- and it seems like no life is left untouched by this disease, worldwide.
I find for me that taking care of me often comes last. With hectic schedules, regular life, and added holiday activities like cards, shopping, wrapping, baking, visiting, plus working on my blog….it’s very easy for me to be all “oh, whoops! I forgot about me again!!” Given that I’m a blogger, though , I’m on social media all of the time. I kind of have to be- it’s the nature of the business I run. Part of being on social media is interacting with others in so many ways- which I absolutely love!
Nestlé Fitness has come up with The Tweeting Bra, a new undergarment that combines the best of both worlds to raise awareness for breast cancer! Now there’s a bra that can tweet- woo hoo!! Multitasking gets kicked up notch! Plus, with the tweets being sent out from the bra, awareness is raised and people are reminded to do those ever-important self-exams. Feel your boobies! Now, if they could just make a bra that does the exam FOR you….
It’s the first bra that actually tweets – that’s multi-tasking at its best. Sounds
intriguing, right? It’s exactly as it sounds. Each time Greek celebrity Maria
Bakodimou unhooks the bra, a signal is sent to the phone with the designated
@TweetingBra account and a tweet is posted to remind their followers about
the monthly self-exam. Pretty handy, right?
What are your thoughts on The Tweeting Bra?

This is a very interesting concept. Most people remember to do their monthly exams when they have a menstrual cycle. Well, without elaborating, I don’t have one of those. But I do wear a bra, so this could be very helpful. It would be helpful if they made a bra that could do the exams for us. 😉

What a smart way to remind people of a VERY important exam to do every month

This seems kind of embarrassing because I don’t want people to know when I take my bra off or put it on, but it’s also kind of amazing because it reminds people to do breast exams – something that we tend to forget about once breast cancer awareness month is over!
