Super gift ideas for Father’s Day #SeeSteelFirst #AD

Father’s Day is SO soon. Just a few weeks away. For men like my husband, there isn’t a lot they “want” to have. It’s not always easy to come up with great ideas, especially on a budget.

Date Night- make a pact with a friend to babysit one another’s kids and take him out to see a new movie- like Man of Steel. Be sure to head to Walmart to get tickets so YOU can see it before anyone else on 7 PM on June 13th, 2013. Tickets are available only at Walmart stores for this special showing, so head over before they are sold out!!

Of course, you can also do a family movie night and ALL go to see the movie together. I’ve seen the previews and it looks awesome. REALLY awesome. I can’t wait. Buy your Man of Steel tickets at Walmart and you will get to see the movie before it debuts nationwide. Tickets can be purchased at any Walmart in the Electronics Department. With the purchase of your ticket you also get an exclusive digital comic book written by David S. Goyer, the author of Man of Steel, in addition to an exclusive opportunity to pre-order an HD digital download or Blu-Ray copy of the film.

Make it a whole theme gift/weekend with a cool Superman or Man of Steel Tshirt or Hat, and if your man is up for it, even a SuperDad cape! If he’s not a wear-it-on-his-person kind of guy, get him a cool water bottle or travel mug. A new phone case is always appreciated and usable!

For the new dad- a fun “Super Dad” mug would be perfect, maybe filled with some coffee candies to keep him awake?!
Make a “Super” breakfast in bed (or special lunch) and cut veggies, fruits, cheese and sandwiches into the Superman symbol, or other known superhero symbols. How cool would a lightning bolt piece of cheese be to brighten up that breakfast in bad? That’s a fun way to say Dad, you’re super to us!

Help dad be faster than a speeding bullet with some cool new sneakers, or a fun new workout top.

    My husband took the kids to see this movie, but it was sold out on Father’s day. The watched in the drive-in theater a few days later, and even my husband was impressed.

    My dad was a super dad. I lost him last year, but have many fond memories of the times we shared. My super dad idea is to never take for granted the time you have with your family.

    I got my tickets and went to see it. I thought it was cool that they had a little promo at the beginning with the guy from the Walmart commercial interviewing the director, Zac Snyder. I thought the movie was great and I loved being able to see it before my friend, who is a HUGE Superman fan but had to wait to see it on Friday.

    It’s great to get dad something he wants but would never buy himself – a bucket of hot wings, an old favorite movie or cartoon, etc. Anything you see his eyes light up over. My dad loved weird silly electronic things like led pins, hulka dancing hamsters, etc. Stupid but they made him laugh, and he would never buy himself something so silly 🙂

    This isn’t a movie I’m likely to go out of my way to see. I think the Superman concept has already been done, and done, and done. Just my opinion, though–I won’t be surprised if Man of Steel is a huge success.

    I don’t think I will be seeing this movie in the theater (my daughter has epilepsy so we don’t take her to the movies often) … BUT, I did just pick up tickets for my hubby & son to go on Thursday for the premier today. I was at Wal-Mart and they were selling them, so I thought it would be something fun for them to do.

    I’m excited to see the movie because I enjoy watching Amy Adams in any movie. Henry Cavill is handsome, so that’s also a plus. I liked watching Superman with Christopher Reeve and then Brandon Routh, and I like the story of Clark Kent but I think we’ve had way too many comic book hero movies lately.

    Super Father’s day ideas? Umm…this year it will definitely be Dad’s day…we are going camping and fishing that weekend, and of course there will be a lot of grilling out and things eaten off of sticks…lol… He isn’t a big one for “things” on his special days, he’d rather have a little time with our 4 kids…(getting them together can be difficult because everyone is always so busy…22,18,15 and 12!)

    I like the new Superman that is in this movie and I think Amy Adams is a really good actress in this movie. The new Movie Man of Steel is a great movie to go see, and I am excited to see it when it comes out!

    My husband and son would LOVE this! I have a picture of my husband dressed as Super Baby that his mom gave us, but then we did the same thing for our son, so they both have Super Baby pictures. We love Super Man and maybe we take it too far. 😉
