This has been an exciting month for the Thomas & Friends fans in our house- and our circle of friends. We had a party so we could all Check out the new Thomas & Friends™ TrackMaster ™ Online and build your very own track design! Fisher-Price sent us a whole party kit so we could invite some friends over to play and explore and enjoy the new build your own track design.
My boys have recently discovered Thomas and his friends. Like most parents of little boys, we knew the time would come where they developed a love for trains and that time is here. Earlier this summer they fell in love with a couple of the Thomas & Friends movies and began learning all about Thomas and the Island of Sodor. We purchased a couple of small Thomas & Friends sets at that time and they since have become their favorite toys…until now!
This fall TrackMaster™ motorized engines have been redesigned with enhanced speed, power and performance. These new engines go faster and climb higher than before which means bigger adventures for Thomas & Friends™! The biggest and most exciting of the redesigned engines and track sets is the Thomas & Friends™ TrackMaster™ Avalanche Escape Set which features fast and powerful motorized engines that make for the most action-packed Thomas & Friends™ adventures of them all. In this really big track set, Thomas makes his way up a 30 degree incline before crossing an avalanche gap and racing down the other side!
My boys now have the Thomas & Friends™ TrackMaster™ Avalanche Escape Set, , the Sort & Switch Delivery Set, the Troublesome Traps Set, and the Sodor Spiral Expansion Pack.
They of course can all be built together to make a lot of different combinations and a really big train area. I think we may have to devote a room just to their love of trains!
We recently hosted a Thomas & Friends TrackMaster party with a few of our friends. It was so much fun for everyone! Even my older children got excited to play and help with the party. It seems everyone loves Thomas! We made some fun Thomas themed foods for the kids (and grown-ups) to enjoy. Our party train pulled in cars full of “coal” brownies, “log” pretzel sticks, and even an “animal” cracker car. The kids chugga chugga’d “diesel fuel” punch!
We all played, and shared our favorite things about Thomas and the gang. All our party guests even received a fun conductor hat to take home too! Jaxon could not have been more excited to take home his hat! He LOVES the new TrackMaster sets and said “these are sooooooo FAST!”
Jaxon’s little brother Truett was our littlest party guest and you can see just how much he loves Thomas & Friends! How cute is he in his little Thomas shirt?!? All I heard from him the whole party was “chew chew…chew chew…chew chew”! Too cute!
We did discover that some of the bigger tracks with more inclines and moving parts work better on a hard surface floor than on carpet. So we headed to the kitchen with a couple of sets with some of the kids! It’s hard to catch any of the kids sitting still with the camera. I think they’re moving as fast as the new engines move!
Don’t worry if you have older Thomas & Friends motorized engines and want to add the new TrackMaster sets to them, the TrackMaster™ sets are compatible with the older versions, allowing your little engineer to continue to expand on and explore the exciting world of Thomas & Friends ™ TrackMaster™
You’ll also want to see the bravest Thomas yet, along with all his friends, in a new direct-to-DVD adventure, Tale of the Brave, available now! My boys have watched it over and over!
You and your adventurous Thomas & Friends™ fans can also visit the brand new site that’s launching soon, www.thomastrackbuilder.com, to put their creativity to the test and build their very own track design!

When my son was little, he loved Thomas. We watched every episode on PBS and his room was done in trains – he had a serious addiction to everything Thomas.
