Chili Cheese Fries with a healthy makeover are the perfect fare for game day or anytime. Use your favorite Turkey chili recipe to top Ore-Ida Crispers -baked not fried to save a few calories. {Healthier} Chili Cheese Fries
Ingredients:
1 22 oz. bag Ore-Ida® Crispers!®
1/2 lb. ground turkey
1 can red Kidney beans
1 cup Colby Jack shredded cheese
1 packet chili seasoning
1-12 oz.bottle chili sauce
1/2 cup water
optional-
1-2 tsp. chili powder- if you like it hot!
Directions:
Drizzle a small amount of olive oil into a large pan, brown turkey, drain.
Mix kidney beans, chili seasoning packet, water and chili sauce into turkey until heated throughout. Stir in extra chili powder at this point if desired.
While mixture is warming up, place fries on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy clean up and cook according to package directions until Ore-Ida Crispers! fries are crispy.
Remove from oven, top with chili then shredded cheese.
Place back in the oven just until cheese is melted.
Remove from oven, allow to cool partially before serving.
Top with sour cream or a light ranch dressing with a little jalapeno juice mixed in if you like a kick.
